Family Involvement

Highmount Preschool warmly welcomes and encourages families to participate in the kindergarten program. We believe that strong partnerships between families and educators create the best outcomes for children and foster a connected preschool community.

Families are invited to be involved in ways that suit their time, interests, and skills — every contribution is valued.

How Families Can Be Involved

Join the Committee of Management
Play an active role in guiding the direction and governance of the preschool.

Participate in social events
Connect with other families at play dates, parent coffee meetups, and community gatherings.

Support fundraising activities
Help at events such as Bunnings BBQs to raise funds for preschool resources.

Assist at working bees
Contribute to maintaining and improving the preschool’s environment and facilities.

Join ‘Stay and Play’ sessions
Spend time in the classroom and share in your child’s learning experience.

Volunteer Requirements

All volunteers are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC). The WWCC is free for volunteers and can be applied for online at www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au
