At Highmount Preschool, our programs are guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) — Belonging, Being and Becoming. Our educators create a nurturing, inclusive and engaging environment that inspires curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love of learning. Through play-based learning, intentional teaching and meaningful connections with community, culture and nature, every child is supported to grow in confidence, wellbeing and identity.

3-Year-Old Program

Our three-year-old program invites children to explore, imagine, and discover through play. We nurture each child’s natural curiosity and energy, supporting their physical, social, emotional, cognitive and creative development. A strong sense of belonging is at the heart of our approach — helping children build positive relationships, feel valued, and find their place within our preschool community.

4-Year-Old Program

Our four-year-old program builds on each child’s growing skills and knowledge, encouraging them to take risks, ask questions and express themselves through rich, hands-on experiences. As adventurers, thinkers, artists and friends, children are inspired to explore their many identities and develop as confident, capable learners. This vital kindergarten year supports their readiness for school and strengthens their love of learning through joy, curiosity and connection.
